הגר פלג החלה את דרכה כמתמחה במשרד גורניצקי ובשנת 2014 הצטרפה כעו"ד למשרד.
במהלך לימודיה, השתתפה הגר בתכנית לחילופי סטודנטים ב- University of Toronto וכן, בקליניקה לזכויות נאשם בהליך הפלילי באוניברסיטת תל אביב.
